Courgette Crisps

Want a low fat, healthy snack that is quick and easy to make? Not to mention delicious!

Then make these beautiful courgette crisps! You will thank me- I've made these about five times in the last few days...

You can make them low fat if you use the low fat spray oil- they will just be a little less crunchy!

Once I read an article on how to make potato crisps in the microwave, so I decided to see if it would work with courgette.

I looked up some recipes for courgette crisps but the ones I found were either oven baked, took 2 hours, required a dehydrator, loads of fat or dairy. No, no, no.

So I decided to try them in the microwave.

Recipe (makes one serving)

Ingredients:
1/3 courgette
Oil
Salt

Method:

First, take a piece of baking parchment and put it on a large plate. If you are using low fat spray oil, spray the paper. If you are using standard oil, pour on about a teaspoon or 2. Cover the paper with the oil.

Next, slice the courgette nearly paper thin. Lay it on the paper, then turn it over so both sides are covered in oil If using spray oil, don't worry about that, just spray the other side.

Now you can microwave! Use a high power for 5- 7 minutes. When they are done, sprinkle with salt and ENJOY :)

They'll shrink a lot... beware :P

It is impossible not to scoff these in about 1 minute flat...

Make a cone out of the paper and eat them from that :D

    1. Omg they are so addictive... me and Mercedes are making them like twice a day! It's good that it doesn't make tons/ it's effort to make them because I would be eating thousands!
